Today is election day. Although there is nothing major for Arkansans to vote for, there are many races going on across the country that could shape the political landscape for 2010 and 2012.
Here are 10 races worth watching around the country: http://www.cnn.com/2009/POLITICS/11/02/races.to.watch/index.html
The biggest races seem to be the gubernatorial elections in New Jersey and Virginia. Republicans are trying to win back most of what Democrats gained in the 2006 and 2008 elections.
Some won’t care. Some will keep buying Powerball tickets. But today is a great day to see if the Limbaughs and Becks of this country have had any affect.
And of course, there’s the back-and-forth between Vice President Biden and Sarah Palin, who have been campaigning for their party’s respective candidates in New York’s 23rd district: http://www.npr.org/blogs/thetwo-way/2009/11/palin_biden_debating_again_thi.html

Well I don’t know what they outcomes will be, but I’m sure it will be a bunch of unqualified people elected. Until we see some Common Sense Party candidates, I always be a little miffed about our current politicians.
Unqualified how?
In my opinion unqualified means people who will continue to vote for or against legislation that they have not fully read or understood and defend their decision by whining that “no one person could read and understand the whole thing, that is what we have staff for.” or “…but how am I supposed to read and understand 500 pages of amendments that were added at 3 A.M. the morning of the vote?” I am honestly sick of that kind of reasoning from the people who write our laws. Our country was created by a single page Declaration and a Constitution of fewer than 5000 WORDS, and yet the latest healthcare bill from the House is almost 2000 PAGES (I’m sorry 1990 pages I don’t want to exaggerate) does anyone else see a disparity here? We have allowed the law to become so complex to give validity to the fact that we overpay do-nothings to have power over us that they have abused for far too long (I do mean decades here and I am not pointing my accusatory finger at either party I point it to Washington entire).
